Igor Bocvarov was born on 27 September 1984 in Veles, Republic of Macedonia, as the only son of Mr. Alekso and Mrs. Snezhana Bocvarovi.
At the age of 7, he received a keyboard as a gift from his father, and he started to play for the first time and discovered his talent, with help from Professor Dimo Gjosev, a director of the School of Music Kiro Dimov in Veles.Seeing his virtuosity, talent and potential, Dimo Gjosev recommends that he enrolls music studies, and Igor completed 4 years music studies at the class of Professor Cveta Stamenkovska.
He started to play with different bands from his town, playing with famous music performers from the Macedonian music scene.
In 1996, he became a member of the folklore ensemble Vila Zora from Veles, and attends numerous international folklore and music festivals in Europe.
In 2000, they won the second prize for authentic folklore at the professional international festival in Dijon, France.
In 2001, he became a professional corepetitor for
Macedonian folklore
(folk dance and songs).
He performs his first seminar
for Macedonian folklore in 2001 in Bale, Croatia, attended by around
100 people. Recognizing his virtuosity, frednliness and professionalism,
they decided to attend
each following seminar he organized.
Thanks to
his Manager, Ivan (Bane) Djokovic, who has total confidence and
hope in him, Igor started to intensively organize seminars through Europe:
Dijon , Lyon, Brest, Monaco, Nice, Marseille,Toulouse (France), Pamplona, Barcelona,
Madrid (Spain), Vincenza, Palermo, Ancona (Italy).
He attended
Balkan Folklore Seminar, organized by Yannis Konstantinou in Florina
(Lerin), Greece, for 3 consecutive years (2002-2004), where he played
with many famous people from Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey.
At present, Igor Bocvarov and his family live
in Hollywood (Florida), where he met the other members of KoljoBand and decided to continue their
music career in the USA and to entertain you and have fun with you,
at the same time reminding you of our Balkan traditions.
